PeopleSoft / Payroll Administrator


 


Scope & Responsibilities: 


The PeopleSoft / Payroll Administrator will support and manages the on-going maintenance activities, reporting, and fix/implementation activities associated with PeopleSoft 9.0 HRMS and Time & Attendance modules as they relate to payroll, time & attendance, tax, and general ledger operations, along with the day to day activities of Payroll and HR Operations.  In addition the Administrator will assist with payroll processing on all levels as a backup to the payroll administrator.


·         PeopleSoft


o       Assisting with ADP to PeopleSoft compares


o       Process data scrubs between ADP and PeopleSoft


o       Correcting the data and maintaining the accuracy to ensure that PeopleSoft serves as the single point of entry


o       Creating test scripts and executing them with in a PeopleSoft test environment prior to implementing a system generated interface


o       Develop and maintain auditing and reporting capabilities that ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data


·         Various accounting/payroll report processing


o       Union Processing


o       G/L analysis


o       Income Verifications


o       Out time maintenance


o       P/S – ADP reporting requests


·         Provide payroll support to all members of the team


·         Provide hands-on PeopleSoft support to the end users


·         Interfacing with the operating departments in maintaining data integrity and correcting/adjusting any data within the system to reflect employee’s current and past history data exercising a moderate degree of decision making and knowledge of policies and procedures


·         Recommends changes in methods or procedures relating to increasing the efficiency within PeopleSoft


·         Ability to manage projects from the planning stage to the implementation stage


·         Recognize when an issue must be escalated to another area for resolution


·         Collaborate with IT and managers to resolve complex system issues and to plan/test system changes


 


Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience:


·         4 years’ progressive experience in a functional PeopleSoft role supporting payroll with in depth knowledge of Workforce Administration HR, Benefits, Payroll, Time & Labor, and Absence Management modules


·         Experience in payroll, PeopleSoft and query reporting required


·         Have sufficient understanding of both PeopleSoft and ADP to diagnose problems to Payroll/HR and Benefits and assist in a resolution


·         High level of analytical and problem solving skills


·         The ability to demonstrate logic, verbal and written communication skills, troubleshooting and analysis skills and good interpersonal and organizational skills


·         Implementation/system interface experience


 


Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience:


·         Bachelor’s degree


·         Experience with Base Benefits and Benefit Administration a plus
