As the Performance Excellence Manager (Quality Assurance), you will plan, coordinate and direct quality assurance programs designed to ensure quality of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates:

? Formulate and maintain Performance Excellence (Quality Assurance) objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals
? Interpret Performance Excellence philosophy to key personnel in organization
? Oversee the quality engineers, and Inspectors
? Review all data obtained during all quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures
? Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities
? Prepare and present technical and program information to the management team
? Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards
? Play an active role on quality management team within the organization
? Investigate and adjust customer complaints regarding quality
? Continuously develop and improve the adequacy of existing Performance Excellence procedures and processes.

Maintain the calibration system
Ensure the appropriate inspections & tests are performed
Ensure the product & processes are within specification
Put systems in place to improve supplier quality
Address customer quality issues, returns, complaints, etc
Establish, track, analyze, & report on key quality metrics
Lead, mentor, & coach your QA/QC team
Promote a culture of quality awareness
Maintain organizational certifications, e.g., ISO9000, AS9100, etc.
Participate in and lead auditing of the quality management system

Qualifications:

Must have strong leadership abilities with highly developed interpersonal skills
Must have a BS degree and 10 to 15 years of Quality Experience and 5 years managerial experience
Three (3) years quality assurance related management and direct supervisory experience in a design, manufacturing or production environment
ISO 9000:2000/AS9100, DOD, and MIL-STD experience

Must have aircraft experience and an A & P license is a plus but not required
