Role Summary/Purpose The Performance Test Engineer will build and execute application load / stress tests, analyze test results, isolate problems, and coordinate performance tuning to ensure business availability and response time SLAs are met. Essential Responsibilities � Work closely with application teams to ensure performance test requirements are understood, conform to standard process input templates, and are delivered in a timely fashion � Review proposed transaction simulations, workload, and test data to ensure design meets Performance Test methodology best practices � Ensure performance test scripts developed offshore conform to standards; create scripts if necessary � Execute performance tests � Analyze test results, draw conclusions, and recommend performance focus areas to appropriate subject matter expert � Coordinate performance bottleneck remediation � Using Six Sigma tools, identify process improvement opportunities, and automate where possible Qualifications/Requirements � Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in an IT position) � At least 5 additional years IT experience � At least 1 year experience in performance test methodology: designing tests and execution scenarios � At least 1 year experience working with Load Runner or other performance testing tool ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: |
