Our customer, a very large organization, is currently looking for a Solid Informatica Developer to assist with a variety of on-going projects.
Project Description:
Our Client is looking for a Solid Informatica Developer to assist with developing their internal applications to support their business units. They will be working with the following:
- Work with System Administrators and Database Administrators to monitor and tune performance
- Familiarity with administrative tasks within Informatica platform such as stopping/starting Informatica Repository and Server processes, performing code migration, backup and restore of Informatica Repository, upgrades and security administration.
- Sharing knowledge by effectively documenting work.
- Develop mapping documents consisting of sources, targets, transformation logic from the information gathered from the business users
- Design and develop the ETL process by studying the business requirements from the users and the mapping documents
- Respond quickly and effectively to production issues and taking responsibility for seeing those issues thru resolution.
- Ensures system compliance with accepted industry standards and practices (such as corporate information factory data flow architecture, star schema modeling, and various ETL techniques).
- Develop strategies and ensure optimization of data acquisitions, archived data recovery, and publication and integration of data into Informatica data targets.
Technical Requirement:
Must have 1-2 years + advanced technical skills / programming experience with the following:
- At least 2-3 years of experience with Informatica
- Must have solid background with Power Center
- Must have 5-7 years of SQL knowledge and skills
- Must have solid background in data mapping and developing workflows.
- Thorough knowledge of pulling data from multiple databases.
- Database modeling theory experience in relational and star-schema modeling highly desirable.
- Data Warehouse theory experience including ETL, DW and ODS. Ability to establish standards and procedures for Informatica related tasks.
Ability to understand data sources, formats and transformations from raw data to meaningful information.
Project Length:
· This is a 1 month contract to perm opportunity.
