1.)  Employment Specialist (Must be able to cover all of North County) Must have flexible availability.  Hours and case load will vary and may fluctuate weekly, but are likely during daytime/early evening hours.  Must be available some weekends. Will start out Part time and turn into Full time. The Employment Specialist will work 1:1 with consumer’s job developing.  You will assist the consumers with job preparation (resume building, submitting applications, interview skills, job searches, building rapport with potential employers, following up on all applications put in on behalf of consumers and all other aspects of obtaining employment). 2.) Part-Time Employment Coordinator.  Must have flexible availability. The right person must be able to cover consumers in Encinitas, Solana beach and Carlsbad.  Hours and case load will vary and may fluctuate weekly, but are likely during daytime/early evening hours.  Must be available weekends.  You would be working 1:1 with adults with developmental disabilities at their work site.  Ideal candidate will have the ability to teach and to learn.  Must be organized, dependable, and be able to meet deadlines. North County applicants only.  Experience with persons with developmental disabilities a plus!  Spanish speaking a plus but not mandatory!

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: The Employment Specialist/ Employment Coordinator must be capable of making on-site visits to consumers, agencies and employers. Often these on-site visits are at a distance from the office and no regular means of public transportation exists. Overnight travel is rare, but may be required for training and as a part of a consumer’s program. An Employment Specialist may transport a consumer as part of his/her job duties. Community Catalysts does not furnish transportation or vehicles for its employees.
 A reliable means of transportation, valid California license and insurance is required.

He/she must successfully pass a screening for illicit drug use prior to employment.

He/she must possess a record clear from past felonious criminal activity and submit a Department of Justice criminal activity background check.
