Pharmaceutical sales and pharmaceutical sales specialist position available!


Our clients include many of the major pharmaceutical companies in the United States. Several are undergoing a major national expansion due to the overwhelming acceptance of their new medication and have asked us to locate a new sales representative for product launches as well as selling their other prescription drugs.  As a successful pharmaceutical sales representative you will sell prescription pharmaceuticals to specialists and primary care physicians.


 


As a result of this growth several pharmaceutical companies are seeking entry-level sales representatives for open territories.  The successful candidate can expect to earn $70-80K or more the first year based on a starting salary of $50-60K, plus commission which adds $20K per year at goal, but is uncapped and could be much higher based on personal performance. In addition, you will receive a company car and an excellent benefit package including medical, life, dental, and vision coverage, as well as excellent opportunities for advancement with one of the fastest growing companies in the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities include:


 



  • Responsible for generating market share and market share growth for assigned pharmaceutical products within a specific geographic area.
  • Pharmaceutical sales representatives will make selling presentations to specialty physicians and other health care professionals, primarily in an office based setting within an assigned geography.
  • Each pharmaceutical representative is responsible for developing an understanding of pharmaceutical terms, definitions, rules and regulations as well as opportunities unique to each geography, particularly in managed health care.
  • Reps will manage allocated resources (samples, promotional and educational materials) to maximize return within regulatory and ethical guidelines.
  • As a pharmaceutical sales rep you must maintain accountability for all pharmaceutical samples and stock packages in accordance with FDA and PDMA guidelines.


Experience & Qualifications:


Demonstrated teamwork skills are essential for this position. In addition, an education or training in pharmacology and medical terminology is essential. Sales Ability/Persuasiveness, use of appropriate interpersonal style and communication methods to facilitate an acceptance of an idea, plan, activity, or product from targeted customers are a must. Must demonstrate ability to influence events to achieve goals, and take actions beyond what is required in being proactive.
