Pharmaceutical Sales Professional

Key Requirements:

·         Qualified candidates must be currently employed within the pharmaceutical industry

·         Qualified candidates are required to have at least 18 months of documented, successful sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry

·         Qualified candidates must have a four-year undergraduate degree of BA or BS with a minimum GPA of 2.8 from a “brick and mortar” college (not an internet degree)

·         A clean driving record is required and no DUI’s

·         Familiarity with sales data and information, as well as reporting systems is a plus

·         A mature approach to managing your business territory is a must

·         A strong work ethic, unquestioned integrity, and a commitment to continuous learning and development is highly desired

·         Ability to think independently, yet perform within a team

·         Candidates must demonstrate strong selling skills and be highly organized, energetic, focused, and dedicated

·         Qualified candidates must have a current base salary of not more than 70 to 75K for consideration

·         Candidates who are enrolled in or have completed a Management Development Leadership Program will be give top consideration

·         Current sales ranking, sales statistics, and relevant documentation of successes will be required

·         Successful Product Launch experience is a strong plus

Responsibilities:

1.      Sales Representatives are required to represent the company professionally and with the highest degree of integrity and business ethics.

2.      Representatives are responsible for expanding sales in a designated territory and providing continuing education and service to general and specialty physicians.

3.      The Sales Representative is responsible for increasing and maintaining market share for company products within a designated territory.

4.      Representatives will conduct product presentations to physicians and other health care professionals, primarily at a physician’s office or hospital.

5.      Developing an understanding of the issues and opportunities unique to each territory and communicating that to colleagues within the company is required.

6.      Representatives are responsible for coordinating samples and promotional/educational materials to maximize sales in compliance with company, regulatory, and ethical guidelines.

7.      All Sales Representatives are accountable for all pharmaceutical samples and associated materials in accordance with PDMA, FDA, and DEA guidelines.

8.      Each Representative is responsible for planning and organizing each day’s itinerary and associated meeting plans.

9.      Travel is required as necessary to cover the geography of the sales territory.  

10.  Representatives from time to time are required to attend and participate in medical and/or trade conventions, special company-sponsored functions, field programs in other territories around the country, and company meetings and training programs.
