Job Requirements:
ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: MS degree in Science or Business or equivalent in pharmaceutical experience. A minimum of 5 years successful pharmaceutical sales experience. Good written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking; ability to establish and maintain internal and external working relationships. PC literate with proficiency in latest business application software; understanding of computer networks. Knowledge of FDA regulatory and internal SOPs necessary.
SCOPE
JUDGMENT / DECISION MAKING: Under general direction as to broad assignments with periodic review of assignments. Duties performed within a framework of departmental or functional protocol requiring a high degree of original thinking.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Substantial damage or loss possibility. Responsible for departmental budget and revenue.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CONTACTS: Internal and external contact requiring a high degree of resourcefulness and tact.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Full employment relationship of departmental staff, including top management.
WORKING CONDITIONS
ENVIRONMENT: Majority of time spent on the road covering designated geographical territory and presenting products to specified group of healthcare professionals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Stress of regular driving to specific destinations, carrying of sales tools, samples.
OTHER: Some overnight travel may be required dependent on territory geography and for several sales and training meetings.
