State of the Art Medical Center, committed to excellence and innovation seeks a Pharmacist Clinical Specialist, Oncology to provide outstanding pharmaceutical and pharmacotherapeutic patient care.

As a decentralized Oncology Pharmacist Specialist, you will work in a progressive and clinical atmosphere with state of the art technology providing pharmaceutical services throughout the oncology service line. As a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist team member you will participate in in-services care teams, do rounds with the multidisciplinary medical staff, serve as a consultant and provide drug therapy education to health care professionals, precept pharmacy residents and students according to professional standards and practices.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

·         Work with interdisciplinary medical oncology teams

·         Daily rounds, providing daily profile review and monitoring

·         Educate patients and healthcare providers

·         Provide drug therapy consults

·         Develop/write patient-specific therapy orders

·         Act as a drug information resource to medical unit staff

·         Provide education on new drugs and therapies to healthcare providers in formal and informal arenas.

·         Perform cost analysis of drug therapies as needed

·         Precept pharmacy residents and students

·         Other duties as assigned by management staff

Requirements:

Doctor of Pharmacy degree

Completion of a PG-Y1 residency (Minimum).  

Completion of PG-Y2 in Oncology highly preferred. 

1-2 years of clinical specialty experience

Georgia licensure or eligible

Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist desirable
