Provides information to the medical, nursing staff, patients and their families to ensure optimal drug usage; provides recommendations to improve therapy; advises physicians on drug interactions and contraindications. Responsible for insuring accurate medication preparation and distribution records are maintained by Pharmacy Technicians. Assumes financial responsibility for all drugs and medications within assigned areas. Serves as a resource to the Pharmacy Liaisons in each PMR Practice and provides in-services and training as deemed necessary. Shares applicable information to PMR Faculty, Managers, and Staff. Performs other job-related duties in areas of responsibility as assigned.

This is a per diem position.

Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Current pharmacist license to practice in Pennsylvania. Six months to one year experience in a hospital pharmacy practice obtained through a required internship and/or clerking or as a licensed pharmacist.
