Professional pharmacy setting open Mon-Fri 8 AM - 5 PM Central.  Pharmacist has one hour lunch.  No nights.  No weekends.  No call outs.  Closed on major holidays!

Manage prescription department staff including technicians who, under the direction of a physician, compound and dispense prescribed drugs in our professional, alternate care (closed door) environment. Oversee  transferring prescriptions, handling incoming physician calls, logging data into the computer, and Drug Utilization Review.  Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. Lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.  Will coordinate communication between prescription department staff and office personnel as well as field sales force.

Require a BS or PharmD in pharmacy and should be licensed to practice in Mississippi (or eligible for reciprocity).  Licensure in multiple states is a BIG plus.  Should be familiar with a variety of pharmacy concepts, practices, and procedures. We find that independent retail pharmacy experience is very helpful but other candidates may demonstrate success, as well.

While we believe that 5 years of experience (or more) will be beneficial, the right candidate may have fewer years of experience.  Must have some management experience (or the ability to manage) and will assume responsibility for day to day prescription department operations as well as assist in business planning and execution of management's strategy.
