About the Job

Pharmacy Application Support Specialist - Impact Pharmacy Operations

Job Label:
QVLP-PASS

If you are a high-energy, well-polished individual with pharmacy, healthcare and/or health insurance experience looking to take your career to a new level within the same industry, QVL Pharmacy is offering an opportunity to impact pharmacies in a new and meaningful way.  In this newly created role, you will instrumental in moving QVL to the next business level as you support the operating functions of our pharmacies ensuring problems are quickly resolved and payment is being received. Currently, we have 60 employees and 10 locations areas across Texas and Louisiana with an aggressive growth plan to open new pharmacies across the US.  As we grow, we will look to you to take on larger projects including the roll-out of our customer card and loyalty program.

QVL Pharmacy was developed as an answer to the significant unmet needs of patients and physicians working with a primary or secondary diagnosis of pain. From that time forward, QVL Pharmacy has extended its unique approach and services into other diagnoses, for which medications may be hard-to-find, including expertise in scheduled (controlled) medications.

The approach we take at QVL Pharmacy focuses our services on specific physicians and patients within targeted treatment categories. While we are "focused" in terms of who we actively seek to serve, we are extremely "flexible" in tailoring our medication inventory and services to best meet the needs of the physicians and patients who choose our pharmacy.

At QVL Pharmacy, we understand that behind every prescription we fill is a unique patient with unique needs. Supporting each patient is a healthcare professional whose medical practice and treatment approach may require a tailored delivery of pharmacy services.

As our Pharmacy Applications Support Specialist, based in our Dallas, Texas office, you will support the operating functions of our pharmacies to ensure they can efficiently process and fill prescriptions and receive payment from insurance companies.  Strong working knowledge of pharmacy operating systems, preferably PDX, will allow you to easily transition into this role that requires manipulating the back-end of the operating system.  This knowledge will also allow you to quickly and effectively troubleshoot different aspects of rejections due to incorrect billing information or inappropriate software set up. Your strong organizational skills and attention to detail lend to your ability to conduct competitive pricing research and analysis, ensure that our prices are current and maintain excellent records of that research. Leverage your strong communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of people as you may provide support to pharmacy technicians, call on competitor pharmacy cashiers and negotiate vendor agreements with third party administrators within insurance companies all in the same day.  This opportunity is one that can’t be passed up, so take charge and apply today!
