Pharmacy Systems Analyst
SUMMARY: Responsible for designing, implementing and supporting clinical applications throughout the ancillary departments of the hospital.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND STANDARDS
1. Supports clinical applications within the Pharmacy. Troubleshoots problems, provides technical expertise and supports the user departments as requested by the users or vendors.
2. Implements modifications to the Pharmacy clinical applications as requested by users or required by vendors, analyzing operational impacts within the departments.
3. Evaluates new projects to determine scope and priority. Coordinates the design, development and implementation of authorized projects.
4. Supports users needs within the Pharmacy, by designing reports, coordinating data mining through other systems and/or working with vendors for system modifications.
5. Actively participates in other projects/committees as requested to contribute to the departments overall goals and objectives.
6. Organize and conduct various meetings with Pharmacy, clinical and physician staff.
7. Determine ongoing system needs. Document the requirements and act as a resource to see that expectations are met per department requests.
8. Create, maintain and distribute proper training manuals, guides and reference documentation as necessary.
