Pharmacy Data Analyst
About the Job
Provide support to the pharmacy department in the form of information analysis with regard to drug utilization data and health care expense
Support the operational component of the pharmacy department through development of automated processes and reporting targeted to improve efficiency and ensure compliance to health plan policy/procedures and regulatory standards
Provide analytical design/support and programming efforts necessary to assist in development of new pharmacy programs/ offerings consistent with the strategic plan of the company
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or High School diploma and Five years experience in business management or information science or health care information systems or biostatics, or computer science.
3 years experience in data analysis and report writing using large claim and membership database relational database functions.
3 years combined experience in statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, random sampling techniques, interpreting information, trends and creation of reports
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Work experience in healthcare/health insurance environment
Proficiency in utilizing MS Access, Word, Excel, Power Point, Project
Cognos and other report writing applications
Ability to organize reports and make presentations
Strong analytical, math and problem solving skill set
Strong written, organizational, verbal communication skill set
