McKesson Automation is seeking a motivated Part-time Pharmacy Packaging Technician to manage and maintain all on-site medication packaging and bar-coding operations related to our automated robotic drug dispensing system installed within the Yuma Regional Medical Center inpatient pharmacy located in Yuma, Arizona.

Current Need

This part-time position offers 25 hours per week. The work schedule is Monday-Friday 9:00am-2:00pm.

Position Description

Perform all unit dose medication packaging according to Robot-Rx Daily Repackaging reports. Maintain all Robot-Rx online and off-line inventories by utilizing appropriate reporting. Perform daily maintenance and necessary routine adjustments on the packager equipment. Assist pharmacy buyer with reordering required medication for packaging. Maintain and order appropriate packaging supplies to support the packaging process. Provide Daily Performance Summary and Packaging Log Summary to PakPlus-Rx Supervisor on a daily basis. Provide necessary on-site information to Supervisor on Robot-Rx performance and other key issues.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous Pharmacy Technician experience in hospital pharmacy or healthcare industry preferred. The successful candidate must register with the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy prior to beginning employment.



Working knowledge of computer hardware, PC Windows. Working knowledge of mechanical packaging equipment. Good organizational skills, accurate, reliable and efficient.
