Job Description
If you’re a dedicated, enthusiastic, experienced Pharmacy Technician professional, preferably also with teaching experience, who believes in the power of sharing your knowledge, motivating others, and putting students first, we want to hear from you! We’re looking for talented instructors to join the team at our Name Campus on a full-time/part-time basis. Reporting to the Allied Health Director of Education, this individual will:
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
· Instruct and evaluate students in your area of specialty with approved materials.
· Prepare lesson plans in accordance with course syllabi.
· Keep up-to-date with, and effectively use, technology and media in classes.
· Track student attendance and grades.
· Help the Campus to control attrition.
· Attend faculty/staff meetings and in-service meetings.
· Act as a conduit of information between campus administrators and students.
· Coordinate and obtain approval for field trips and guest speakers.
· Implement and adhere to all school policies.
· Participate in graduation ceremonies.
* Perform other duties/participate in special projects as assigned.
Skills Needed:
· Superior language ability/interpersonal communication skills
· Solid logic/reasoning ability
· Solid organizational skills
· Good math ability especially in dosage calculations
· Good word processing/spreadsheet/Internet skills
Education/Experience Needed:
· At least five (5) years of practical work experience in a Pharmacy Technician role; Retail/Hospital.
· Professional certification as required by the State of TN, Certified by the PTCB, Sterile Products certification and certified in CPR.
· Education level should be at least a diploma in Pharmacy Technician from an accredited Institution.
· BA or BS degree preferred but experience and credentials will be assessed accordingly.
* Previous teaching experience highly desired.
