Pharmacy Technician - Mount Sinai Of Queens

Job Description:

The Pharmacy Technician assists Pharmacists in pharmaceutical preparation, distribution and the record keeping functions in the delivery of pharmaceutical supplies to units.

Job Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.
Pharmacy Technician certification preferred
Excellent mathematical skills required for the preparation and distribution of pharmaceuticals; possess a basic understanding of hospital pharmacy drug distribution systems including unit dose, IV additive and floor stock distribution methods.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for routine interaction with hospital staff, patients and visitors.
Ability to lift pharmaceutical supply containers weighting approximately 20 pounds
