We are seeking a Physical Security Subject Matter Expert who will be responsible for our physical security programs. Candidates need to live close to an airport as extensive travel will be required. Prefer such areas as: Phoenix, AZ; Northern or Southern CA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Herndon, VA or DC area.
Ideal candidates will have 5+ years experience and specialize in CCTV, IP Video Surveillance, Wireless Networking, CCTV Distribution, Access Control, Alarm Systems, and Enterprise Security Applications. Testing, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repair skills are a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Perform physical security site surveys, identify project scope, and develop tailored security solutions to meet customer specific requirements.
- Review and analyze test results.
- Prepare daily reports that analyze progress and quality, while identifying potential project risks.
- Analyze physical security vulnerabilities/system failures, and identify cost-effective remediation steps.
- Test and evaluate new security equipment and prepare RFPs for competitive purchasing processes.
- Interface with clients, architects, engineers and construction trade contractors
- Prepare design packages and write CSI format specifications.
- Estimate all work to determine job costs.
- Direct and coordinate proposal marketing, design and installation activities.
- Write design outlines and compile design criteria for integrated IP Video, intrusion, and access control systems.
- Meet with the owner and /or general contractor’s representative to review and define project scope.
- Review and approval of shop drawings and submittals.
- Facilitate multidisciplinary working groups to determine security solutions and mitigate risks.
- Assure timely completion of project closeout.
- Position may require travel up to 75%.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5+ years of experience designing and maintaining physical security systems
- In-depth knowledge of CCTV distribution systems, analog and IP Video surveillance, intrusion detection systems, access control systems, cabling infrastructure, and security control room design
- Security Clearance: Candidate must be a US citizen and will be subject to a government security investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Working knowledge of applicable government standards and guidelines for electronic security systems, anti-terrorism/force protection, and facilities security design and access control.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), MS Project.
- Strong organizational skills and able to motivate strong performance in a team environment.
- Knowledge of IT network infrastructure including basic hardware and network functionality.
- Possesses strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a professional and pleasant demeanor in stressful situations
- Ability to quickly resolve conflict in a professional manner
- Ability to prioritize and multitask, while maintaining close attention to detail
- Ability to solve problems and improve processes.
- Ability to work alone or as a team and take control of projects
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Industry certification is preferred
- Manufacturer’s technician certification or training in any of the following systems is a plus: access controls, CCTV systems, perimeter surveillance, interior surveillance, alarm annunciation, low voltage power supply and distribution, structured cabling, protected distribution systems.
- Knowledge of the any or all of the following low voltage systems is a plus: Fire Detection, Fire Suppression, Lighting Control, HVAC, Water Detection, Paging Systems etc
- AutoCAD and VISIO knowledge is a strong plus
