UWMC has an exciting opportunity for a PA on the Otology/Head & Neck Surgery Service. This role provides medical care to patients that includes performing examinations, establishing diagnoses and determining appropriate treatment or referral for medical problems. All treatment provided is within the scope of the applicable licensure and under the general guidance of an attending physician.
This PA position will perform under the responsibility and supervision of the attending Oto/HNS surgeon and will provide diagnostic and therapeutic care to Oto/HNS patients in such a manner that allows the medical faculty and residents to extend their services and training more effectively and efficiently. Specifically, this position will provide direct pre and post-operative care to patients in the otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Center, and will provide oversight to the perioperative clinics for each sub-specialty in the center, serving as primary practitioner for these clinics.
The PA position will report directly to the Oto/HNS Service Line Administrator and the Medical Director/Service Chief.

Eligible for registration as a Physician's Assistant (PA) in the State of Washington; must be eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the organized medical staff of the hospital under Medical Staff By-Laws for Hospital-based positions.

Previous med-surg experience is preferred. Previous ENT experience is desired.
