Primary area of work will be in Telehealth, but can be utilized in other areas if not involved with Telehealth.
Ability to work under the direct supervision of a physician.
Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health care, assist in surgery and write prescriptions, using Telehealth means whenever applicable.
Collect and record, in proper format, medical and social historical data appropriate to the patient's condition.
Perform a general physical examination. Record the findings in proper format and determine medical qualification for various purposes.
Plan and initiate proper treatment within the PA's defined privileges and the scope of practice of the facility.
Clearly communicate to other health personnel either orally or in writing the findings, diagnosis and planned treatment regimen.
Maintain inpatient and outpatient medical records in accordance with medical facilities procedures.
PA shall perform the services, which a military PA with similar training and experience would be called upon to perform while in a similar duty assignment.
Requirements:
Must be a graduate from a PA training program that is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant. (Masters degree, preferred.)
Must possess and maintain a current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Must have and maintain current, unrestricted license from a US state, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction.
Have at least three years experience, with at least 12 months in the past 24 months.
