Job Description:

• Primary area of work will be in Telehealth, but can be utilized in other areas if not involved with Telehealth.
  
• Ability to work under the direct supervision of a physician.
  
• Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health care, assist in surgery and write prescriptions, using Telehealth means whenever applicable.
  
• Collect and record, in proper format, medical and social historical data appropriate to the patient's condition.
  
• Perform a general physical examination.  Record the findings in proper format and determine medical qualification for various purposes.
  
• Plan and initiate proper treatment within the PA's defined privileges and the scope of practice of the facility.
  
• Clearly communicate to other health personnel either orally or in writing the findings, diagnosis and planned treatment regimen.
  
• Maintain inpatient and outpatient medical records in accordance with medical facilities procedures.
  
• PA shall perform the services, which a military PA with similar training and experience would be called upon to perform while in a similar duty assignment.
  

Requirements:

• Must be a graduate from a PA training program that is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant. (Masters degree, preferred.)
  
• Must possess and maintain a current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  
• Must have and maintain current, unrestricted license from a US state, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory or jurisdiction.
  
• Have at least three years experience, with at least 12 months in the past 24 months.
