Bottom Line Systems, Inc. is a health care consulting company, specializing in identifying and collecting managed care underpayments and denials for our customers for the past 12-years!  Due to our rapid growth, we are seeking to add several energetic, passionate people to our organization of Managed Care Professionals.  We are currently in need of a full-time Physician Analyst to join our team. This position is available in Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky.

Position Description

• Audit claims and search for underpayments, review refund requests and denials
  
• Review managed care contracts and compare against claims to identify underpayments for assigned client(s)
  
• Investigate various issues with payors and their contracts and respond to questions to reach problem resolution
  
• Collect claims data to be reviewed
  
• Call payors to resolve underpayments found
  
• Write adjustment and appeal letters as needed to payors to resolve underpayments
  
• Communicate with client contact concerning all issues related to billing, posting, contracts, etc...both in an informal manner through daily contact and formal manner through scheduled presentations

Position Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in operational setting, preferable in managed care or physician patient accounts
  
• PC skills including experience with Microsoft Windows and Windows based spreadsheet, word processing
  
• Prior experience working with physician claims
  
• Experience working with ICD-9, CPT-4 and/or HCPCS coding systems
  
• Knowledge of insurance submittal procedures and medical forms (including UB04 and CMS1500)
  
• Experience performing account resolution with third party payors
  
• Accounts receivable collections from payors (no self pay)
  
• Ability to effectively identify and communicate payor trends
  
• CPC preferred, not required
  
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, not required
