Unified Foodservice Purchasing Co-op, LLC (UFPC) manages the supply chain for all corporate- and most franchise-owned A&W, KFC, Long John Silver's, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurant outlets in the United States. UFPC negotiates volume purchases of equipment, food, packaging, and other supplies from manufacturers and suppliers for purchase by operators and distributors who supply operators.
Description
UFPC is currently seeking a Program Manager to support our Pizza Hut Concept Co-op. Our new Program Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the supply plan for Pizza Hut programs (equipment, smallwares, food and packaging). In addition to managing the supply plan, this person will actively participate on cross-functional project teams and act as the central point of contact for project team, buyers, suppliers and distributors for all assigned programs.
In addition, you will be responsible for:
- Developing the supply side forecast and vendor production schedule for all programs based on input from chain finance, the project team and the distributors.
- Ensuring uninterrupted supply of product for all program initiatives by reconciling actual to forecasting sales and managing production to through the life of the promotion.
- Providing timely communication regarding program objectives, item forecast, supply chain strategy, lead-times, risks, and store participation to project teams and/or operators, procurement, suppliers, distribution and other relevant functions to achieve flawless execution.
- Developing and executing contingency plans to minimize product shortages or obsolescence that may result from sales over or under forecast.
- Working with procurement team members and approved suppliers to meet cost targets for program initiatives.
- Facilitating resolution of supply issues and provide solution recommendations.
- Developing key relationships with Procurement, R&D, QA, Distribution, Marketing, Training, Operations, Customer Service and Franchise Operations in order to maintain Program Management as a valued partner in the PHI project management process.
- Assisting in supplier and distributor summits, as required, and actively ensure UFPC participation in supplier selection to enhance the development process. Support project teams by participating in franchise conventions and other relevant activities.
- Supporting process enhancements in all areas of Program Management to improve the overall supply chain function.
- Driving a culture of responsiveness and front-line focus throughout the organization to support Pizza Hut initiatives for all internal and external customers.
Required Skills
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum five years general business experience required, preferably in one of the following areas: Program Management, Distribution, Marketing, or Purchasing. Supply Chain Management. Restaurant experience a plus. Masters Degree a plus.
- Microsoft Office proficiency required.
- Must have strong analytical, planning, organizational and problem solving skills and be able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership required.
