PLANT ACCOUNTANT

Chelmsford, MA

Packaging Corporation of America, a well-established nationwide manufacturer of Corrugated and Packaging solutions is seeking a hands-on PLANT ACCOUNTANT for the Chelmsford, Massachusetts’ facility.  This is a small office with a one person accounting department overseeing all areas of financial accounting and office management within a manufacturing environment.  This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

The qualified candidate must possess a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and a willingness to roll up his or her sleeves.  Experience in basic General Ledger through Financial Statement and balance sheet reconciliation is required. Duties typically include: answering phones, posting entries and balancing general ledger accounts; posting, validating, and processing accounts payable transactions; processing daily invoices; collecting accounts receivable; processing of the hourly payroll; leading the month end closing process of the financials for the plant; and resolving non-routine issues.  Previous corrugated industry experience is a plus.
