Primary Responsibilities The primary responsibility is to be an active member on the plant leadership team, provide financial reporting, analysis and direction for the facility as well as being responsible for insuring the financial integrity of all plant operations. Specifically the responsibilities include: - Provide the monthly financial closing/reporting in an accurate and timely manner.
- Actively participate as a member of the plant leadership team – drive behavior and processes which improve the profitability of the plant.
- Provide guidance, direction and analysis to plant leadership team related to plant operation issues.
- Drive improvements in scrap, expenses and working capital
- Prepare plant operating Plan, Forecasts and monthly projections
- Work with operations and Division teams on capital improvement analysis, appropriation recommendations and project tracking.
- Manage and develop plant controls and compliance procedures.
- Work with operations team to understand and improve plant processing costs
- Perform and monitor inventory and associated costs updates and changes
- Communicate and advise key plant and division stakeholders on key financial metrics associated with plant operations.
- Perform all scrap, expense and inventory reporting as needed.
- Work with Leadership team in implementing and tracking Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Manage and develop Plant Accounting Team.
Qualifications - Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
- Three years experience in a Finance, Accounting or related function in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and persuasive skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly proficient PC Skills (spreadsheets and related databases)
- Good analytical and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with functional team members located at different sites.
- Working knowledge of MFG/Pro or similar ERP software and Results Reporting.
- Good knowledge and experience with financial metrics related to the operation of a manufacturing operation.
