Plant Controller

Central New York confections manufacturer, seeks a Plant Controller to join its management team at its manufacturing facility.   The Controller will be the key user of the Company's MRP system which needs to be fully implemented.

Basic Responsibilities 

Ø     Track actual plant operating budget results vs. plan.

Ø      Develop individual product standards and re-assess quarterly.

Ø      Work with plant operating personnel in analyzing the cause of monthly operating variances and recommending corrective action where appropriate.

Ø      Take month-end physical inventory at the facility.

Ø      Develop cost center definitions and build product routers.

Ø      Provide ongoing, on-site support to other plant personnel on the operations and capabilities of the computer system.

Ø      Supervise the reporting of production and ensure that proper controls are being followed for inventory management (raw materials, packaging materials, operating supplies, work-in-process and finished goods) and shipping controls.

Ø      Responsible for monitoring the progress of capital spending against the approved plant improvements budget and tagging and controlling the fixed assets located within the facility after they are in place.

Spearhead the implementation of the MRP module of the Company's Navision ERP system. 

 Experience

The incumbent should possess 7 years of overall experience with 3-4 years in a manufacturing environment supported by an automated manufacturing management system.  Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERP Systems (Navision) a huge plus.
