Plant Controller
About the Job
Our client, a well known manufacturer of industrial products for business to business and commercial sales is seeking a plant controller for our state of the art manufacturing plant near in Jackson, MS. As the controller you will be a key member of the Plant Manager's staff and will have full financial responsibility for this state of the art plant. You will have responsibility for leading a staff of up to five, month end close, financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, forecasting and general and cost accounting. This is a critical role that is of key importance to the company.
Qualifications
You will have a minimum of a 4 year degree in accounting or finance, an MBA or CPA is a plus but is not required. You will have at least 8 years experience in progressive financial leadership including but not limited to at least five years as a plant controller, assistant plant controller or lead analyst. You will have experience successfully learning and managing a staff and will have hands on experience with month end closing, budgeting, forecasting, general and cost accounting, abiding by company accounting requirements and adhering to GAAP. Experience with SAP is a plus. We are looking for a real leader, someone who will do more than the status quo and take the plant to the next level. Our client is offering a generous compensation package and relocation for this outstanding position.
Travel is reasonable and will include regional and national meetings at corporate for controllers. We are looking for a person that is a real leader and my client is willing to pay top dollar what it takes to get the best person available.
