Plant Controller

Job Description:
Position Summary:
As Plant Controller, you will be an integral part of the plant leadership team and are expected to provide financial direction on all aspects of your operation. This position will report functionally to the plant General Manager and directly to the Division Controller of one of MBCI’s two core divisions (Stock and Semi-Custom). In this capacity, you will be responsible for an annual budget up to $65mm and annual capital spending up to $10mm. You will be provided the opportunity to shape the business through your involvement in a wide range of accountabilities. To be successful in this role, you must work independently, be willing to learn our products and the manufacturing processes surrounding them, and have a passion for winning. Professional advancement opportunities will be provided to an individual who is capable of delivering outstanding results in this role.
Accountabilities:
?Oversee all aspects of the business planning cycle for your site including the coordination and development of operating and financial plans as well as the tracking and reporting of performance against plans.
?Lead the development of long-range strategic plans for existing and new business operations including capital resource allocation.
?Evaluate business proposals and major capital investments with financial rigor to support plant management decision-making.
?Partner with site leadership to identify and execute annual productivity initiatives. Provide support for Six-Sigma and other continuous improvement efforts.
?Ensure proper financial reporting, controls and policies exist. Protect corporate assets through inventory record accuracy, asset audits, post capital project completion audits, and G/L reconciliations. Champion the continuous improvement of all financial processes.
?Provide timely and insightful financial analysis to plant management that drives improved decision-making (monthly reporting of performance results/KPIs, variance analysis, monthly financial forecasts, etc.).
?Participate in the annual plant standard setting (support of routings, scrap & usage rates, overhead costs, etc.)

Job Experience:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
?A minimum of 5 years of finance experience within a manufacturing and/or supply chain operations environment.
?Significant financial analysis experience (resource allocation, capital improvements and expenditures) and the ability to shape complex data into meaningful operational analysis.
?Experience working with and advising senior management on financial and business strategy.
?Proven track record of driving results through cross-functional teams.
?Working knowledge of general accounting and internal controls.
?Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize, and manage a diverse spectrum of stakeholder expectations.
?Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
Education Requirements:
?Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA with a concentration in Finance is desirable.
?CMA or CPA preferred.
