Plant Engineer

Our client, a leading producer of disposable paper products seeks a strategic leader to manage key on-site operations focused on its popular product lines. Its category leading products continue to provide useful hygienic solutions to Retail, Commercial and Industrial customers in North America and Europe. Recent demand for these Green products remains strong continuing its dynamic growth for several decades.

 

This manufacturer is looking for an individual to lead key manufacturing and maintenance activities to support its successful production facility located in Arizona. Key leadership responsibilities for the position will include planning as well as execution of projects focused on improving safety, production process and product quality. To support these activities this person will develop pro-active improvements to manufacturing processes as well as create solutions to day-to-day machine related maintenance challenges. Additional duties will be centered on cost estimates, equipment/parts selection, vendor approval and investment expenditures. Other duties will include management of projects requiring coordination between outside consultants, contractors and associated company personnel. Other responsibilities will include participation in Failure Analysis as well as to further develop Standard Maintenance Operating Procedures. Special emphasis will be given by Operations Leadership Team to mentor and develop this individual to move into additional strategic leadership responsibility within the company.


To qualify for this exciting opportunity you must posses 2 years minimum successful experience focused on maintenance and/or engineering management within a Paper Converting, Paper Mill or related production environment.  Strong ability to troubleshoot and construct root cause failure analysis is also required.  A proven history of successful execution of multiple Engineering related projects in a high performance work system is highly valued. A successful track record utilizing strong analytical, multi-tasking, communication, and follow-up skills sets you apart. A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field plus experience or equivalent overall related experience is required. 

 

First year earnings are expected to be $70K-$75K plus excellent benefits. A comprehensive relocation package will be included where needed.
