Plant Engineer

  1. Responsibility and authority as outlined in the Quality Manual, Operational Procedures, and all Instruction Manuals.
  2. Member of the Plant's Steering Team and Safety Committee.
  3. Ensures training of and compliance to safety policies and procedures (including, but not limited to Lock Out/Tag Out, Right to Know, fire protection, etc.)
  4. Assigns Support Group personnel daily activities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  5. Responds to line problems to ensure production schedules are met.
  6. Ensures Support Group personnel are properly trained for assigned tasks.
  7. Implements preventative maintenance and follow through.
  8. Set-ups new lines and new equipment.
  9. Schedules and conducts line change-overs.
  10. Ensures the facility maintenance is executed.
  11. Ensures parts room is organized and adequate inventory is maintained.
  12. Responsible for independent projects and their timely closure.
  13. Audits the documented quality system as assigned by the Management Representative.
  14. All other duties as assigned.


  1. Related degree (Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) plus comparable experience.
  2. Excellent interpersonal skills as demonstrated in the context of the interview process and/or references.
  3. Strong written communication skills as demonstrated by testing, transcripts or other designated methods.
  4. Detail oriented as demonstrated during the interview process and/or through references.
  5. Computer skills as verified by testing or transcript.
  6. Ladder Logic skills as verified by testing or transcript.
  7. Hands-on experience in industrial safety operations as verified by reference check. Mechanical skills as demonstrated or verified.
  8. Strong supervisory skills as verified through references.
