This client is a US manufacturing firm with locations in North America and Europe.
Products are highly sophisticated components for medical, commercial, environmental,
and aerospace/defense applications. The southwestern Ohio plant enjoyed double
digit revenue increase for four consecutive years and continues to expand. The pace
of growth creates new challenges such as capacity, product launch issues, supply chain
coordination, and assimilation of a doubled workforce into the company’s culture.
The corporation is committed to lean and Six Sigma methodologies to maximize
customer performance metrics, continuously improve productivity, and reduce process/
product variation. The plant employs a highly skilled workforce of engineers, technical
specialists, and technicians. A primary goal is to drive employee performance and
accountability within a data-driven culture and a sense of urgency. Successful execution
of this role can lead to multi-site leadership responsibilities or a shift into General
Management career ascension.
Our client requires an Engineering Bachelors degree and an MBA or significant progress
toward MBA attainment. Individuals must have at least 12 years progressive experience
in manufacturing. Prior leadership of a site is preferred, but our client will consider
individuals who previously held a #2 position for site leadership. Prior experience
must include leadership of production/operations, but also show breadth with prior
assignments in at least 2 of the functions of supply chain, manufacturing engineering,
quality, or continuous improvement. Prior experience is strongly preferred with
electronic products/processes and/or defense industry regulations. Candidates must
be able to obtain US Security Clearance. Customer facing duties and effective staff
development demand superior communication skills.
