Plant Materials Manager
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
SUMMARY
Responsibilities:
- Guides, manages, and directs the activities of subordinates and functions of assigned area.
- Responsible for Production Control, Customer Service Interface and Warehouse activities.
- Responsible for coordinating all aspects of supply chain management, procurement and inventory control / planning.
- Analyzes and organizes area operations and procedures. Monitors and evaluates area production.
- Revises or creates procedures to improve efficiency of workflow.
- Initiates cost reduction programs.
- Reviews clerical and personnel records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Prepares employee performance evaluations. May prepare area budget and monthly financial reports.
- Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising staff.
- Responsible for controlling budget
Requirements:
- Experience in a fast paced environment, short lead time, high demand service level environment.
- Highly computer literate with Excel and Crystal a plus.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in supply chain management and planning.
- Must be a self-starter and willing to work in an ever-changing environment.
- Must be willing to take initiative on certain key proejcts and operate with little or no supervision.
- Inventory management/control and planning experience is a must.
- Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma experience a plus.
