About the Job

Utility Partners of America ( http://www.utilitypartners.biz /) is seeking a P-2 Licensed Plumber for CT to work as a Field Supervisor on our Hartford, CT project installing and upgrading AMR technology based water meters.


Salary depends on experience and will be discussed during initial phone interview.



Work Hours:


·         We will have various shifts due to scheduled appointments with homeowners; availability of working hrs within the hrs of 6 am – 8 pm.  1 hr lunch; M-F. Some Saturday shifts may be assigned or be on call. Shifts will be assigned.


Tasks:


Oversee and assist the Installation crew with:


·         Installing AMR (automatic meter reading) devices on water meters in residential and commercial utility customers’ home and or businesses.


·         Changing out water meters as needed.


·         Installing wiring of AMR device through substructure of building/house.


·         Installing Electronic Radio Transmitter (ERT) on outside of building/house.


·         Delivering excellent customer service.


·         Entering residences and businesses as needed to install AMR device and wiring.


·         Ensuring AMR device is working properly.


·         Maintaining a clean work environment.


·         Abiding by all safety training and regulations.


·         Driving UPA provided vehicle during working hours in a safe and appropriate manner.


 Also, uiltizing plumbing skills as needed for repairs to plumbing involving water meters.


 Requirements:


·    Possess a valid P-2 Connecticut Plumbing license - will work under a supervisor who has a p1 license


·       Ability to communicate effectively with Utility Customers and Supervise Installers.


·         Outstanding Customer Service skills.


·         Ability to read meters.


·          Basic understanding of a cell phone.


·         Ability to comprehend a Handheld device used to capture AMR data.


·         Ability to drive a UPA vehicle safely.


·         Possession of a valid driver’s license at all times.


·         Maintain a well-groomed appearance and professional image at all times.


·         Pre hire and during employment pass criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, DOT urine drug test as required, sexual offender background, and a basic vision test.
