Through Guarantee Insurance Company we provide workers' compensation alternative market risk transfer solutions and traditional workers' compensation insurance. GIC is licensed to write workers' compensation insurance in 25 States and the District of Columbia. GIC has offices in Ft. Lauderdale, Sarasota, and Orlando, Florida, and in St. Louis, Missouri.
We have the exciting opportunity available for a Policy Services Processor. The primary function of a Processor is to assist the Policy Specialists in processing applications for, changes, reinstatement, renewal and cancellation and issuance of workers’ compensation insurance policies.
The essential functions include:
- Answers telephone for agent and policyholder related concerns. Answers all routine questions and seeks guidance for non-routine questions when necessary. Takes messages or fields/answers all routine and non-routine questions.
- Issues newly bound policies and renewals, makes copies and forwards to all related parties, following special instructions if applicable.
- Administratively supports the Policy Service Specialists.
- Utilizes system darts function for follow-up on pending information, completion of endorsement requests, and statuses.
- Generates Loss Run Reports and other canned reports upon request.
- Generates Certificates of Insurance upon request.
- Process NCCI and bureau related corrections and inquiries.
- Uses NCCI’s DCA and bureau related websites for policy administration related activities.
- Regularly processes endorsements upon receipt from carrier by making copies, updating appropriate systems and mailing to agents
- Regularly processes pending termination and reinstatement notices upon receipt from carrier by updating appropriate systems and faxing to agent.
- Upon receipt of renewal policy, reviews accuracy of renewal policy, generates renewal letter, updates appropriate systems, and mails renewal package to the agent within 48 hours of receipt.
- Process all mail and faxes including indexing and faxing.
- Repeatedly constructs and provides new policyholder information packets for new policyholders.
- Utilizes keyboarding skills and appropriate PC applications for data entry and retrieval. .
- Interacts with a diverse group of important external contacts and visitors, as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization.

Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years in an insurance company role preferred.
- Workers’ Compensation experience and 4-40 license a plus
Computer Skills:
Individuals should be proficient using Internet software, and Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Fiserv a plus. Must have the ability to learn other software packages.
