This member of the IT Team will be a key player of a Matrix Team responsible for deploying, maintaining, upgrading and coordinating any implementations on the LGG and several other web properties.
Supported by the cross functional IT department, the Portal Administrator will be responsible for Level 2 and 3 support escalation and fully responsible for the solution of any application issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Play an integral role in the project and program management team responsible for the global roll-out of the application in all Laureate sub-divisions by way of providing senior level operational application infrastructure administration and troubleshooting expertise.

• Coordinate with IT staff and functional end-users to provide Level 3 support for applications.
  
• Define, implement, and manage application architectures while coordinating and managing key system management aspects such as backup and recovery, etc.
  
• Proactively monitor and streamline the health and performance of applications and their associated services to increase business performance and continuity.
  
• Assist with the development, documentation and maintenance of disaster recovery procedures for all associated applications (including Web Server, Databases etc.).
  
• Document and maintain operational support procedures, coordinate and liaison with the 24 X 7 IT Operations staff.
  
• Designing, creating, and maintaining applications and functions for the Portal.
  
• Maintain and synchronize the development environment to mirror the production environment.
  
• Manage the testing and migration of code from the development environment to the production environment.
  
• Ongoing maintenance of software including patches & fixes, upgrades and performance enhancements.
  
• Coordinate and assist in user training materials and needs, maintain and recommend training resources

• 3+ years of Web system development, implementation and administration.
  
• 5+ years of Microsoft platforms experience (IIS, SQL).
  
• 2+ years of SiteCore Administration a huge plus.
  
• 2+ years of SharePoint Specific Experience highly desired.
  
• Knowledge of Coveo or other Enterprise Search Engines a big plus.
  
• Advance experience with AJAX, .NET development.
  
• Flash/Flex development a plus.
  
• Active Directory integration (ILM/FIM) a plus.
  
• LMS experience a plus (Blackboard, Moodle)

• Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems.
  
• Microsoft Certifications a plus.
  
• Deep and vast Technical Knowledge of Web Technologies.
