Job Description:

The Traumatic Stress Studies Division is seeking a cellular/molecular biologist to assist investigators examining post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and the biological and behavioral correlates of stress in veterans and other populations. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in biology or equivalent laboratory proficiency. This is an ideal postdoctoral position with the possibility of advancement. Work will be conducted in Dr. Rachel Yehuda's research laboratory at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center (Bronx, NY).
Responsibilities will include performing and developing assays to assess HPA axis function including gene expression and epigenetic markers (DNA methylation), oversight of the laboratory, data analysis, and report preparation in support of clinical trials and basic research projects. Experience with a variety of molecular/cellular techniques and regulatory practices are highly desirable. United States citizenship is required for this position.
