Power Device Development Staff Engineer
This position offers an opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer in the development and integration of power driver ASICS for high performance and near line high capacity disk drives. This involves working with internal integration and servo designers in the development, debug, and production support of motor and voice coil control devices for new products. This will also involve support of the product groups in developing new disc drive products. This includes motor driver, voice coil, and regulator circuit designs and applications.
Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred. Candidates for this position should have at least 8+ years of experience in some of the following areas: control theory, analog circuit design, and disk drive operations; some digital design is also involved. An understanding of IC fabrication process and how it impacts the design is a plus. Some travel may be required.
