Powerhouse Operator/Mechanic
Operate and maintain high pressure coal fired boilers, turbine generator, ammonia refrigeration equipment, air compressors and associated equipment. Perform lubrication, alignment, basic maintenance tasks on above powerhouse equipment. Seven day operation with 12 hour shifts, 4 on - 4 off, probable night shift assignment. Overtime required.
Must have 3 - 5 years experience operating and/or maintaining a coal fueled operation. Experience with air compressors, refrigeration systems and electrical generators a plus. Must be able to work at heights up to 50 feet. Must be qualified to wear a respirator. Must have a good working knowledge of water chemistry, lubrication, flow diagrams, general machine shop equipment, steam distribution systems, and chemical handling.
