Position Summary:


 


Our client is a multi-specialty physician practice located in California’s San Joaquin valley. We are currently searching for a dynamic Practice Administrator with experience in Business Development and Physician Alignment strategies.  In addition this individual will provide leadership and oversight of practice operations in collaboration with our firm, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare management and technology solutions.

Responsibilities:




  • Oversees efforts for recruitment, Staff development and evaluation of employees and physicians.  


  • Oversees the business and financial affairs of the physician practice and fiscal management in conjunction with the organization’s accounting and finance department, as well as, managing the physician practice front end billing and collection processes/department.


  • Ensures physician practice compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies. Continually monitors operations, programs, physical properties. Initiates appropriate changes.


  • Encourages community education by initiation participation in health fairs and events to promote awareness. Responsible for managing the overall marketing activities of the practice in conjunction with the organization’s marketing department.


  • Represents the physician practice and serves as liaison and channel of communication between the hospitals, health plans, insurance companies, regulatory bodies, other health organizations and government agencies.


  • Participates in all practice managed care relationships, including monitoring of related reimbursement, negotiation with third party payers, provider credentialing, and maintenance of contracts.


  • Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional development to keep current in the latest health care trends and developments.


Requirements:


Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or other related field.  Master’s degree a plus. 


Minimum 10 years healthcare management experience with physician practice operations, financial/budgeting experience, experience with business/strategic planning for a physician practice.


 


Knowledge of organization policies, procedures and systems and health care administration practices.  Knowledge of government and reimbursement regulations and requirements.  Skill in planning, organizing, delegating and supervising.  Skill in gathering and interpreting data.  Skill in verbal and written communication; skill in researching, preparing and presenting comprehensive reports.  Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.  Ability to work effectively with staff, patients, public and external agencies.
