We are currently seeking a Practice Product Marketing Director. The PPMD has a deep understanding of the member’s role, responsibilities and challenges and works towards ensuring that CEB offerings address those needs. Within the practice/franchise, the PPMD identifies and coordinates integrated, multi-tactical product and marketing programs intended to deliver member value, drive renewals and build NBB opportunity pipeline. The PPMD ensures that all marketing collateral and programs are consistent with Corporate Marketing messaging and branding and works across Practices to identify, leverage and integrate marketing ideas and activities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Product/Commercial team interface:
- Coordinates integrated, multi-tactical product and marketing programs intended to deliver member value, drive renewals and build NBB opportunity pipeline.
- Work with product teams to position and articulate product “items” and overall program value propositions, particularly for key member and prospect segments.
- Create resonant sales collateral (merchandisers, sell sheets, etc.) that appeal to target audiences, leveraging acquired knowledge of program agenda and calendar of deliverables.
- Improve commercial teams’ ability to authentically engage with segments through easy-to-absorb scripting and training materials and sessions.
- Works with commercial organization to identify product and service enhancements that will create value added memberships and contribute to membership utilization, satisfaction and renewal.
Marketing management and program development:
- Cultivate and execute on program-specific promotional opportunities (conferences, press releases, co-authorship, etc.) that help to generate leads and build sales pipelines.
- Represent Practice’s/Franchise’s Marketing at the firm level; serves as the point of contact for all practice marketing activities with Marketing ; Represents Practice at Marketing Table.
- Ensure adherence of practice/franchise marketing initiatives to CEB standards.
- Coordinates promotional activities across the practice/franchise to ensure consistency of message as well as appropriate distancing between/among marketing offerings.
- Works with Marketing and Creative Services to create online and hard copy marketing collateral; responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate brand and production standards.
- Creates new marketing opportunities; challenges research and revenue teams to identify different ways of promoting member services.
Process management:
- Create and maintain collateral development and marketing process consistency.
- Develop and maintain collateral hub/portal for intuitive use by commercial teams.
- With guidance from Marketing, develops and executes a comprehensive ‘collateral creation’, communications and marketing strategy for practice/franchise.
- Develop and manage internal sales event calendar.
- Create and manage structure for revenue team training/scripting/role-play sessions (e.g., Town Halls) and lead sessions in partnership with individual program “product specialists.”
- Ensures that all marketing collateral and programs are consistent with Corporate Marketing messaging and branding.
- Works across Practices to identify, leverage and integrate marketing ideas and activities.
A successful candidate will possess:
- BS/BA degree, MBA preferred.
- 10-12 years of product marketing experience in a B2B environment with strong analytical skills and experience in services or solutions oriented businesses.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, managers, clients and customers.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to assess complex market landscape and create focused, integrated Marketing plan.
- Ability to work with, influence and lead peers, executives and partners that are not under direct control.
- Executive understanding of financial concepts including P&L, balances sheets, and ROI models.
- Ability to create and implement Marketing plans, with a proven track record of success.
- Excellent program, project and time management and execution skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Ability to coordinate efforts cross-functionally to achieve positive end results.
- Ability to adapt and respond appropriately to change.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical and communications skills to build compelling business cases in order to win internal support for the Marketing programs.
- Ability to represent CEB as a senior manager, giving thoughtful and forward-looking presentations.
- The successful candidate will be a self-starter; this individual must be adaptable, persuasive, tenacious and perceptive and be able to execute a well-developed plan.
