Prepress Assistant (1925)
Description

Performs Plating, Engraving and Preprocessing/Prelim functions or similar craft operations of the Prepress Department.

Responsibilities

  • Performs operations in accordance with best practices
  • Maintains quality of product
  • Utilizes troubleshooting techniques as required by position and area
  • Maintains machine upkeep, housekeeping and completes maintenance sheets including signing off as completed
  • Performs operations in accordance with SOP's.
  • Understands performance tracking system and implications to the ISO process
  • Ensures only high quality product is released to press
  • Consistently works on improving processes and quality of product released from Prepress to the Pressroom
  • At Lead (II) level, monitors inventory on a regular basis and tests new materials as needed.
  • At Lead (II) level, supports ISO process including meeting participation and performance tracking systems.
  • Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out - tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies.
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
  • It is the responsibility of all Solution Delivery employees to follow the requirements of their documented process as defined in the ISO Quality Manual.

    • Knowledge of all aspects of Prepress required.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and embrace the Continuous Improvement model of RRD.
