Prepress Operator
About the Job
We are an established printing company looking for pre-press operator / multi-talented individual.
Immediate opening for a Pre-Press Operator to join our production team.
Responsibilities include:
- Creation of proofs from client supplied files
- Mechanical preparation of files for print and web
- Perform layout, color correction, and production functions using desktop publishing software
- Review production layouts and suggestion for improvement
- Outputting of printing plates for offset printing processes.
- Interact with client to meet their needs and expectations

- Updating our web site using latest web design techniques
- Creation of email based marketing
- Management of client print projects
- Traffic projects through production and approval processes
Qualifications:
- Understanding of Pantone and Process Colors
- Understanding of various print processes including foil stamping, engraving, embossing, die cutting
- 3 years experience in print production and web design
- Detail-oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Able to troubleshoot technical issues on Mac and PC hardware
Software / Hardware Skill Requirements:
- In-depth, hands-on knowledge of CS3 applications
- Flash, Adobe Acrobat, HTML, Dreamweaver, and Image Ready
- Knowledge of CTP ˆ computer to plate devices
