Bishop Hendricken High School, located in Warwick, Rhode Island is seeking a new President to begin in July, 2010. Founded by the Diocese of Providence in 1959, Bishop Hendricken High School is a diocesan secondary school for young men enrolling approximately one thousand students. It is currently under the direction of the Edmund Rice Christian Brothers ? North America.
Bishop Hendricken High School seeks a person with visionary leadership, excellent communication skills and a collaborative decision-making style. The President, working in the President/Principal administrative model, motivates and inspires the vision and implementation of the mission, goals and philosophy of the school. The President has final responsibility for all aspects of the school and is specifi cally charged with oversight of Catholic identity, governance, finances, admissions, physical plant and institutional advancement through general oversight and strategic planning. In concert with the Principal, the President insures the integrity of the overall program within the school. The President is responsible to the Board of Directors of Bishop Hendricken. The President must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church. Candidates should have a background in school administration, preferably as a Principal, President or Head of School. Candidates with equivalent or other appropriate business leadership experience will also be considered. An advanced degree is required.
