A manufacturing company is seeking a Price and Marketing Analyst to support the goals of the Sales Team by providing expert assistance in all facets of new and exising customer price management.
The ideal candidate will:
- Work with Sales Management to incorporate best practices as it relates to pricing and achieving gross margin goals. Develop competitive pricing strategies for new and existing business.
- Support the Sales Team with new and existing bids/proposals
- Monitor changes in costs and manage the price adjustment process:
- Manage the price estimating/quoting process for new/existing items:
- Evaluate pricing adjustment process and outline areas for improvement/efficiencies.
- Assist the Sales Team in their development of strategic initiatives and major target efforts by providing market, competitive and profitability analysis (as needed/requested).
- Assist in the evaluation of profitability by product, sales person and region (as needed).
- Manage a streamlined and standardized storage of records related to pricing.
- Interface regularly with Senior/Executive Managers and collaborate regularly with Sales, Customer Service, Plant Personnel and IT.
EDUCATION AND EXPERINECE
- A bachelor's degree in business, economics or finance a must
- 3+ years analyzing financial data in a fast pace manufacturing environment.
- Experience with price margin management and assigning item pricing.
- High Proficiency with data compilation and analysis software such as Excel.
- Packaging industry experience is a plus.
