We are seeking a unique individual who can understand the scope of creative projects within an agency environment and the costs associated with them.
Reporting to the senior production manager, the creative pricing coordinator will work with internal account and creative team members to gain consensus on the parameters of a project and put those parameters and costs to an estimate, which, pending client approval, is generated, as a scope of work. The scope of work outlines what the project is expected to produce, and the profit it will generate.
Duties include reviewing creative work proposals, obtaining quotes from outside vendors, generating purchase order numbers and reconciling invoices.
The role is unique because it requires a cross function of talent. On one hand, he/she must have a love of number crunching and accounting, and take pride in their role to help maintain profitability for the agency. On the other, he/she must be able to grasp the complexities of creative projects (advertising, web development, photo shoots, etc.), and the roles of those working on those projects. The ideal candidate will have the ability to tap into both left and right brain thinking.
This is not a creative position, but it requires creative thinking and lives within the creative department
Our ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years total work experience, preferably in an agency setting. He/she will also possess solid people skills, to liaison with all disciplines and levels within the agency plus an ability to stay cool within tight deadlines and sometimes shifting parameters is a huge plus. Attention to detail and organizational skills are a must.
