Pricing Manager

Business Overview The Flow Technologies Division of Pentair is a leading global provider of water related products with sales in excess of $1B globally, serving a $30 billion worldwide market, including the Industrial, Commercial, Municipal, and Residential market segments. Position Overview Management and development of processes, systems, and actions that assure that the Watersystems business of Pentair achieves optimal price realization while also meeting market share and market growth objectives. This position is responsible for developing the division’s pricing strategies and implementing them within Marketing, Field Sales, and Customer Service. Responsibilities Lead the development of pricing strategies that position Pentair as the price leader in the distribution networks where we participate. Lead the development and implementation of pricing systems, processes, and guidelines that allow Pentair to achieve its price realization goals. Provide analysis and support to the Sales and Marketing organizations in the development of volume, price, and share strategies. Assure that our pricing activities are consistent with Pentair’s legal and ethical standards and meet or exceed industry norms and guidelines. Help Pentair to achieve its financial goals with minimal productivity loss in Marketing and Field Sales. Train Field Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service personnel as needed to assure their actions are consistent with agreed upon pricing strategies, processes, and guidelines. Maximize Pentair’s “pocket price” via improvement of the prices realized in the marketplace and reduction of “cost leaks” from areas such as freight, rebates, returns, allowances, etc. Maintain, analyze, and communicate competitive pricing information within Marketing, Field Sales, and Customer Service so that appropriate personnel understand our pricing relative to competition. Provide economic forecasts and analysis for the Sales and Operations Planning Process. Use those projections to forecast future enclosure sales growth or decline. Provide support to the Director of Marketing in developing the annual revenue plan. Work with employees of the Pricing Department to effectively and efficiently roll out price increases within the Field Sales and the distributor community. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in engineering MBA or Masters degree strongly preferred. 10 +/- years experience in Marketing Well-developed analytical and strategic thinking capabilities. Excellent oral and written skills. Excellent computer skills. Ability to influence others including customers, Field Sales, and executive management. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport and leadership role.
