Principal Analyst, Program

This position is located in our VA, Fairfax facility



Sr. Project Management Consultant Fairfax, VA with project management consulting experience. Responsibilities include supporting coordination and performance of all activities related to implementation of processes, policies and systems to support a large project management office. As a member of the project management office, candidate will provide consulting services which include: creating strategies and action plans, facilitating and supporting work groups, identifying strategies for automating and implementing efficient work management processes, mapping complex business processes, and communicating processes solutions to the client. Additional activities include organizing and conducting software training and demonstrations, participating in program management working sessions, and supporting program managers in executing day-to-day project management activities.

Project Descriptions:
At least eight years project management consulting experience required. Familiarity in developing project management methodology (processes, best practices, tools, and templates). Proven experience managing customer expectations during software implementations. Ability to understand technical vision and communicate it to both technical and non-technical parties. Hands-on process and systems analysis experience in large, complex programs and experience in creating and supporting program management offices. Exposure to PMI and optionally SEI CMM principles preferred. Experience building and managing work plans using MS Project, Primavera P3, or similar project scheduling tools. Some functional and technical knowledge of Lotus Notes/Domino preferred, but not required.



Requires BS/BA degree.
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.

8-10 years project management consulting experience required

Required Skills: Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, outstanding time management and organization skills, proven ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment, work independently to develop client relationships, driving project direction and growth, and drive business development.
