Principal Consultant - ICD-10 Specialist Job Description:

As a member of the
Arcadia team, the Principal Consultant - ICD-10 Specialist will have a key role
in providing subject matter expertise to Arcadia project teams and facilitating
our company’s growth in the healthcare marketplace. Must have experience with
the use and application of ICD-9 / ICD-10 codes within health care.  AHIMA certification is preferred. Project
management experience is required.  Previous
consulting experience is preferred. This position requires that the hire has
the ability to adapt well to change, think on their toes, and quickly learn new
skills. This role will be involved in full life-cycle projects and day to day
tasks will include:

• Business and
  project strategy pertaining to ICD-9 and ICD-10 regulatory changes
• Transferring subject
  matter knowledge
• Business development
  including definition of service offerings
• Up-sell/Cross-sell additional work within an account
• Define, maintain and execute on an account plan that is
  in line with our company strategy
• Perform staff development and mentor junior resources

Other qualifications include:

• 5+ years of professional experience
• Knowledge of ICD-9 or ICD-10 code sets and usage of
  coded health data within payers and/or providers
• AHIMA certification preferred (RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CCS, or
  CHDA)
• Experience with one or more of the following is
  desirable: claims adjudication, provider revenue cycle, care management, or
  health data analytics
• Experience managing large projects, a client account, or
  an internal department/functional group
• Previous consulting experience a plus
• Experience defining business cases, assisting with
  product/service offerings, sales support, or marketing is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
