Principal Consultant: Third Party Application and Risk Management
CIBER Providence is seeking a PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT to provide strategic direction for Application and Third Party Risk Management programs offered by the CIBER Global Security Practice. This individual will be responsible for execution, operations and practice development efforts in support of Application and Third Party Risk Management offerings. These risk management programs are an end-to-end offering that manages the execution of the program that performs either application or security risk assessments, and evaluates the impact of that risk on the customer's behalf as it pertains to their application portfolio or vendor management programs. This position is responsible for developing pilot programs for customers, managing the execution of those programs, positioning those pilot programs into a capacity model that provides the management and execution of these risk assessment products, maintaining quality service and customer care, ensuring project schedules and performance requirements are met, defining technical direction and offerings, maintaining budgets, attending meetings w/ high level staff and customers and managing staff through leadership, mentoring, and training. Program Development - Providing though leadership in the areas of application testing and third party risk management
- Defining and leading pilot programs for potential customers
- Providing scoping and technical support into the sales process
Program Execution - Provide program management support through execution oversight and quality assurance
- Track multiple projects in various stages of development, providing visibility of project status to team members and management
- Refining process and procedures for improvement and efficiency gains
- Manage quality control systems and maintaining excellent communication channels between customer and operations
- Develop staff by assisting in hiring, retention, performance management, capability/skill development
- Preparation and delivery of various reports for project support and CIBER Global Security Practice management
- 5-7 years experience performing risk assessments in either application security testing or information security program reviews
- 3-5 years managing programs and people
- Bachelor degree
- CISSP or CISM
- position requires up to 50% travel
- The ability to coordinate and organize work while meeting deadlines
- Decision making, written and oral communication and people management skills required
- Ability to maintain a superior level of customer satisfaction with internal and external customers
- Demonstrated competency in project management in a cross-functional environment and experience in managing resources across enterprise boundaries to meet goals on multiple projects
