Principal Mechanical Engineer (Construction)
Description:
Lockheed Martins construction and facilities infrastructure business is going through an exciting growth period. We invite you to join us as we continue with our success.
Will serve as the bases Mechanical Engineer, helping to identify existing problem areas and offering solutions for management and O&M. Will be responsible for new and rehab construction projects, primarily in Fauquier and Culpeper Counties, to ensure that all new systems are integrated into the existing mechanical infrastructure; and will assist in bringing data centers online. The Engineer will work with A&E firms on design and applications of new systems. Will provide risk assessment & mitigation, configuration management, and supporting documentation. The position is located in Fauquier County, Virginia.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 20 years of related experience, including experience managing large-scope projects within critical operations and having stringent deadlines. Must be knowledgeable of generator systems and control systems. A Virginia PE license is preferred. Also desired is experience in developing budgets, using MS Project and using A&E practices. Candidate will be subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
