Principal Network/Telecom Engineer (Shift)

Description:
Provides technical analysis in data network planning, engineering, and design. Provides analysis for implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to network problems. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, hubs, bridges and gateways, etc. Coordinates third party maintenance for network equipment and troubleshoots problems with department users and department network administrators. May develop uniform operation procedures. Aptitude for precision implementation of procedures. Significant experience operating real time systems, for communications, command & control. Experience applying troubleshooting techniques with scope of authority. Background in UNIX operating systems is likely required.

Shift Support - 12.5 hrs shifts scheduled around changeovers at 0600 and 1800. Shift rotation is a two week cycle of 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off, 2 on, 2 off ( 7 shifts per two weeks) Days and nights switch on a monthly basis. Nights receive 15% shift premium.

TS/SCI with CI Polygraph

Qualifications:
Masters with min 3 years or Bachelors with min 5 years of related experience or equivalent professional work experience.

Applicants selected must be eligible for access to U.S. Government classified information. An active and transferable TS/SCI w/CI poly clearance is required at time of hire.

Due to the nature of work performed in our facility, U.S. Citizenship is required.
